NORWICH — Police are investigating a scene near the Shetucket River after finding a body floating in the water.
Around 8:30 p.m. at Hamilton Avenue, police responded to the river after two fishermen said they found a body.
Police said the body showed signs of being deceased for some period of time. They said no foul play is suspected.
The deceased man is described as approximately six feet tall, around 200 lbs., approximately 45-55 years of age, with brown eyes, medium length brown hair, medium length brown/grey beard. He was wearing tan cargo shorts and an olive colored plaid button down shirt.
