I was involved in a bad car accident. My medical bills are over $80,000 and I have been out of work for three months now. The at-fault party only has $20,000 worth of insurance coverage, which has been offered by his insurance company. Unfortunately, I only have $20,000 of coverage myself, so I cannot make an underinsured motorist claim. I am reluctant to accept the offer because it doesn’t fully compensate me. What should I do?
