BLOOMFIELD -- A bomb threat was made targeting an auto shop in Bloomfield, but police said no bomb was found.

Bloomfield police said that on Monday morning at around 6:45 they got a call from a Jacob’s Vehicle Systems security stating that the business just received a bomb threat. They were told that an anonymous caller said “bombs would be going off within the hour”.

Police said when they got there, the premises had been evacuated. Bloomfield and Windsor police set up a traffic perimeter blocking Old Iron Ore Road, as well as East Dudley Town Road, both adjacent to the building.

Bloomfield police, Hartford’s Bomb Squad technicians and Jacobs Vehicle System’s personnel checked the business and the surrounding area. No devices or suspicious packages were found, according to police.
