CHAPLIN — Connecticut State Police said a three-car crash led to a fatality Tuesday morning.
At around 6:30 a.m., State Police said they responded to the area of 359 Hampton Road in Chaplin for a three car crash. The crash left some people trapped and Emily Hammond, 29, of Willimantic, with a life-threatening injury. She was taken to Windham Hospital where she later died.
Police said Hammond was driving a car that collided with a vehicle parked on the shoulder. Her car spun around and hit a third car and left that driver with minor injuries.
