HARTFORD -- Columbus Boulevard was closed for several hours during the evening commute after a person was struck by a car.
Hartford police said the driver of the car was driving north on Columbus Boulevard as a pedestrian walked west from Grove Street and across Columbus in front of stopped traffic.
Police said the pedestrian was struck by the SUV, who appeared to have a green light. The pedestrian was transported to Hartford Hospital with head injuries.
Police said the pedestrian is 40-years-old. The name of victim was not released.
No other details have been released.
