CROMWELL, Conn. — Cromwell police are investigating after a body was found in the Connecticut River in Cromwell.
Police said at 6:57 p.m., Cromwell police were notified of a possible body floating in the Connecticut River. Officers found a male body in the river. The unidentified body was recovered and removed with the assistance of the Cromwell Fire Department.
The investigation is being handled by the Cromwell Police Department Detective Division and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
This appears to be an isolated incident with no threat to the community.
