11 people displaced in Fair Haven fire

There were 6 adults and 5 children.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Eleven people, including 5 children, were displaced in a midday fire in Fair Haven today. 

According to the New Haven Police Department, they found the home at 51 Chatham Street with heavy fire on all three stories at around 12:25 p.m.

Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control with no injuries. One dog was rescued from the house.

The Red Cross is helping those that were displaced.

The fire is currently under investigation.
