    BRONX, NY – Raymond Rodriguez, 34, was taken into custody by West Hartford Police Detective Wamester, with the aid of the NYPD Special Victims Unit, on Wednesday, Nov. 26.     Man arrested after trying to enter Bridgeport school

    BRIDGEPORT – Police have arrested a suspect after he tried to get into the Achievement First Charter School on Stillman Street just after 7 a.m. Friday morning. Police have identified the suspect as Alex Wichelm, of Bridgeport. At the time of the incident he appeared to be under the influence of drugs.     SOUTHINGTON – The annual Ski Sun and Travel Expo was a success this year, hosted by FoxCT’s Daytrippers Jim Altman and Sarah Cody. There were dozens of companies showcasing their travel destinations, products and services to the hundreds of attendees, the first 350 of which received a free lift ticket to one of four ski resorts.     Suspicious bag found at Bristol post office not a threat

    BRISTOL – Police closed off a post office on Main Street at 2:31 p.m. on Tuesday after a suspicious bag was located at the entrance. Police say that a man noticed the bag on the ground in the parking lot and then moved it into the post office’s foyer. U.S. Postal Police and Hartford Police Department Bomb Squad responded to the scene, and using an x-ray device determined there was no threat.     MILFORD – Police are currently investigating the robbery of the Webster Bank located at 314 Merwin Avenue. On Wednesday, Oct. 29 around 2 p.m., an unidentified white male, approximately 5’10” tall, entered the bank and demanded money from the teller, then fled through the rear door with an undisclosed amount of money.     SHELTON – Following the retirement of K-9 Jager from the Shelton Police Department, K-9 Stryker has recently been purchased for the resurrected K-9 Unit.     UPDATE: Police have arrested the driver involved in this hit and run. Hugo Cruz-Gregorio, 33, of Norwalk is charged with driving under the influence, evading resulting in death, and other motor vehicle charges. He is being held on $750,000 bond.   • Detectives seek identity of Bridgeport burglar

    BRIDGEPORT – Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who burglarized an Express Mobile, located at 509 E. Main Street on Wednesday night, Oct. 22. The lone suspect, who appeared to be a white or Hispanic male, entered through the front glass of the location at around midnight and returned again at 4 a.m.  The burglar stole several mobile phones.
