    2 people injured after car slams into restaurant in Canton

    CANTON —  Two people were injured Monday after a car slammed into a restaurant in Canton. A car crashed into the Crown & Hammer Restaurant in the Collinsville section of town around 12:30 p.m. The building, which sits at the corner of Bridge and Main Street, was significantly damaged in the accident.     Officer injured in West Haven accident

    WEST HAVEN — A West Haven police officer was injured Monday afternoon in a car crash. Police are investigating the crash at the intersection of West Main Street and Platt Avenue. Police say the accident involved a police car and another car, injuring the office. “Avoid this area as traffic will be heavy until cleared,” police said in a statement.     1 person killed in midday shooting in Hartford

    HARTFORD — Hartford Police Major Crimes Division is investigating a deadly shooting in the middle of Friday afternoon. Police say it happened near Albany Avenue at Garden Street in Hartford sometime after 1 p.m. It happened near the Community Health Center, but the crime scene was about a block long and includes the Food Mart at 550 Albany Avenue.     WEST HARTFORD — Bomb threats were called in to multiple Jewish Community Centers across the country Wednesday, including two in Connecticut.     EAST HAMPTON — Three women were taken to the hospital Tuesday after they were attacked by a bobcat in Colchester.
