WILLIMANTIC State police are meeting Friday to discuss the search of a 20-year-old student at Eastern Connecticut State University who disappeared a week ago.

Alyssiah Wiley has not been heard from since Saturday. Her last known contact was through a text message.

State police were contacted Wednesday, according to university police. Detectives from the Major Crimes Squad and missing person bureau responded to the university, along with K-9 teams.

Detectives are interviewing Wiley’s friends and family about her last known movements, state police said.

University police have said little about the incident, but police reported that they were notified of Wiley’s disappearance at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

She is 5-foot-6 and weighs around 150 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Wiley lives in a dorm on the ECSU campus, a university spokesman said. A release including a description of Wiley and police contact numbers was shared with university students and staff, he said.

Anyone with any information about Wiley is asked to contact state police at 860-685-8190.
