Shortly after 9 p.m. Monday New Haven Police responded to several 911 calls reporting gunfire in the area of Chapel Street and Derby Avenue.
When officers arrived on scene they located the victim, Qusaan “QB” McKoy in front of the Haven Market at 1492 Chapel Street.
Police say McKoy has been shot several times and was rushed to Yale Hospital where he was listed in critical condition. He died from his injuries early Tuesday.
