Cold Case: Kenneth Carter

Twenty three-year-old Kenneth Carter was gunned down and shot at the corner of Williams and Liberty streets in Hartford, and his killer is still at large.

On July 25th, 2009, after 11:30 p.m., Kenneth Carter was sitting in his car. He was approached by a black male with a white t-shirt and braided hair, who pulled out a gun and fired several shots into the car.

Instinctively, Carter he put the car in reverse to try to get away from his assailant, and hits several cars on the street.

The Hartford Police found him there after calls were made to 911 by neighbors,  he was taken by EMS to Saint Francis Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police were able to piece together people of interest, but still not enough to proceed with an arrest.
