Democratic strategist Matt Hennessy and former Connecticut Republican Party vice chairwoman Catherine Marx talk about controversy going on in state government, including Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s trip to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Malloy has come under fire for allowing People Magazine to pay for his trip to the Washington, D.C. event. After criticism from state Republicans, the governor cut a check to People Magazine to reimburse them for the cost of the trip.
The duo also talk about other ongoing issues including the battle over the state budget. Malloy has said he will not raise taxes, but that could mean cuts in other areas.
