Bridgeport High Schools Re-Opened After Threats

BRIDGEPORT Students hFairfield_countyave returned to class after threats at all three high schools Tuesday, police said.

Warren Harding, Bassick and Central high schools were evacuated, said William Kaempffer, public safety spokesman. Officers brought a police dog through the buildings as a precaution and deemed it safe for students’ return.

Students had returned by noon, he said.

The city of Bridgeport has three high schools: Bassick is located on 1181 Fairfield Ave., Central is located at 1 Lincoln Blvd., and Warren Harding is located at 1734 Central Ave.
