Kelly Faris, the Connecticut Sun’s top draft pick from UConn, will not practice for some time while she continues to rest the left foot she injured at UConn. She will not practice for two weeks.
“I will do whatever the team wants me to do. I’m not interested in changing my approach; I will be the same person I was at UConn,” Faris said. “I’ll do my best, try my hardest.”
Sun GM Chris Sienko said he’s not worry about the layoff hurting Faris’ chances of making the team.
“Unless she rests and gets better, the injury would have prevented her from having the type of camp we know she can have,” Sienko said.
