WATERBURY Police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a bank robbery.

The holdup happened about 3 p.m. Monday at the Thomaston Savings Bank, 824 Highland Avenue. A man came into the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money, police said.

The teller complied, handing over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the man ran away on Bradley Avenue, they said. He didn’t show any weapon, and no one was injured.

Police released surveillance photos of the man. He was described as in his 40s, of average height and build with salt and pepper colored hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 203-755-1234.
