Hartford Detectives Investigate Two Shootings

Dr. RuthHARTFORD Major Crimes Division detectives are investigating two weekend shootings in and have suspects in both, but so far there have been no arrests, Hartford police said.

The first shooting was reported at 1:54 a.m. Sunday near 147 Lawrence St., police said.

Two men suffered gunshot wounds and police said it appears they were unintended targets of gunfire, Lt. Brian Foley said. One man suffered a gunshot wound to the left bicep. The other man was shot in the toe. Both are from Hartford and were treated at Hartford Hospital.

Patrol officers caught a suspect nearby after a foot chase, Foley said.

The second shooting was reported at 8:43 p.m. Sunday near 814 Albany Ave. A 30-year-old man was shot in the chest and taken to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center for treatment. No further information was available.
