The work week starts off starts off with cooler temperatures this morning, we will only rise to around 55-60 degrees for a high temperature. this afternoon. We’ll have mostly sunny skies with a bit of a breeze from the west at 5 to 15 mph.

Tonight will be the coldest night we’ve felt in a while. Low temperatures will drop to around freezing ranging from 20-30 across the state. A freeze warning has been issued for tonight in the area of Litchfield county. Any sensitive plants left outside may have some trouble as those temperatures drop to around freezing.

Tuesday we will experience a slight warm-up, but it will still be below average in the mid 60s. Our average high for this time of year is 70 degrees.

Temperatures start to warm-up again on Wednesday and we will return to more normal levels. Wednesday night into Thursday we may see a few showers as a low pressure system swings down from the north. It likely won’t be any heavy rain, just a few nuisance showers. Thursday and Friday will be in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.

The weekend will then bring a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the 70s yet again.
