Today: Mostly sunny and delightful.  High: low-mid 70s.  Wind: SSW 5-15 mph.

High pressure will remain in control today and tomorrow with seasonably mild days and cool nights. There is the chance for showers Monday as a warm front slowly moves in our direction. A warmer more humid air Tuesday through Thursday as temperatures approach 80 degrees.

High pressure located in upstate New York will continue to provide plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures across Connecticut today. There will be some clouds rolling in by Sunday as a southeast flow develops transporting low level moisture from the ocean. A front to the south will begin to buckle north with more clouds and a few showers that may try to sneak into the area by tomorrow evening. However, there will also be intervals of sun. The warm front will slowly approach the region Monday with scattered showers followed by a warmer more humid day on Tuesday as temperatures jump into the low 80s. Wednesday and Thursday, the front will meander across New England with waves of low pressure providing plenty of clouds and the chance for pop-up afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. However there will also be intervals of sunshine that will help keep temperatures well up into the 70s and low 80s. A cold front will sag south over our region by next Friday with more showers and thunderstorms.

Monday: Mostly cloudy with the chance for a few showers and thunderstorms. High: 70’s.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, warm and humid with the chance for an isolated thunderstorm. High: 75-83.
