The defense rested without calling a witness Monday in the trial of the campaign finance director for former Speaker of the House Christopher Donovan.
U.S. District Court Judge Janet Bond Arterton denied a motion from Robert Braddock’s lawyer to dismiss the charges. Final arguments are scheduled for Tuesday.
Robert Braddock is facing charges of violating campaign finance laws by accepting illegal “conduit” contributions in return for influencing roll-your-own tobacco shop legislation.
