Danbury Police Investigate Armed Robberies

Fairfield_countyA Citgo gas station and a Subway restaurant were robbed at knife-point over the weekend, police said.

Investigators are trying to determine if the robberies are connected.

The robbery at the gas station, located at 300 White St., was reported Sunday at 7:04 p.m. A masked man pulled a knife on a clerk behind the cash register, police said.

He fled with an undisclosed amount of money, running south on Cross Street.

The Subway restaurant, located at 317 Main St., was robbed Saturday around 4:07 p.m. A man put a knife against an employee, cutting her wrist, police said. She was treated at the scene.

The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
