The Asberry Boys are the winners of WDRC-FM’s first CT’s Got Talent Contest. They join the Fox CT Morning Extra to talk about the contest, promote their upcoming concert in Connecticut, and perform a song on set.
The competition started with contestants submitting videos to the WDRC Facebook page; nine contestants were chosen among the entries to compete.
There were three judges: Broadway dancer and New Britain native, Billy Johnstone, award-winning blues guitarist and singer from Wethersfield, Jeff Pitchell, and Hartford Courant Java columnist, Maryellen Fillo.
The Asberry Boys took the final prize, however, and they will be performing at the Toyota Oakdale Theater in August. They performed a song called “Tender” on Fox CT’s Morning Extra.
