Car Crash, Fire Shuts Down Route 2 West

GLASTONBURY –route 2 A car burned after a crash Friday morning, shutting down the westbound lanes of Route 2, state police said.

The car was engulfed in flames near the Hebron Avenue exit shortly after 9:30 a.m., they said. The fire has been extinguished.

No serious injuries were reported; the occupants were able to get out of the car. Firefighters remained on the scene at 10 a.m.
