John Markus was the head-writer for iconic sitcom “The Cosby Show.” He is now taking on a new project working with theater. Markus co-wrote: “The Fabulous Liptones,” which debuts this weekend in Connecticut. He joins the Morning Extra to talk about the play.
“The Fabulous Lipitones” is the comedic story of friendship, prejudice and the power of song. A barbershop quartet that has been belting out close harmonies for twenty years, then loses a key member. The three surviving members must cease their bickering and race to find a replacement singer in time for Nationals. Excitement runs high when the group finds someone, but they still have challenges to face.
The show is running now through June 2, 2013:
The Norma Terris Theatre
33 North Main Street
