Hands on Hartford is a social services agency that focuses on poverty, homelessness and hunger. Founded in 1969, the organization is teaming up with Camp Courant to prepare the camp for the summer.
Hands on Hartford is planning the annual day of service for Shipman & Goodwin, a law firm with offices in Hartford, Stamford and Greenwich. This year, lawyers will focus their efforts on Camp Courant, planting flowers and shrubs, cleaning classrooms, locker rooms and trails, building and repairing picnic tables and helping to reconstruct a greenhouse that was destroyed.
Camp Courant, which has been around for more than a century, provides quality summer programming to needy children in Hartford. To learn more about Hands on Hartford, visit www.handsonhartford.org. For more information on Camp Courant, visit www.campcourant.org.
