Skip, “Mr. Handyman” Wyatt, owner of Mr. Handyman, stopped by the Fox CT studios to show off some of the essential tools you need for backyard barbecues, camping trips with the family and home improvement projects.

For work around the house, Wyatt suggests a paint sprayer, which is great for do-it-yourself projects and helpful on difficult-to-reach surfaces like shutters, lattices and fences. To clean up around the yard, a Ryobi leaf blower is a good option, Wyatt says. The tool is multifunctional with different head attachments including string trimmers, hedge trimmers and pruners.

For camping, a propane tank gauge will help you make sure you don’t run low on fuel, and a pop-up canopy is essential to stay out of the sun and summer heat. Don’t forget to pack some flashlights, especially those of the LED variety, Wyatt says.
