NEW HAVEN — As much of the state experiences temperatures in the 90s on Friday, health experts are reminding folks of some safety precautions, especially as poor air quality moves in as well.

EPA New England warns that Southern New England will experience poor air quality both Friday and Saturday.

Doctors say a few groups need to take notice.  They recommend the very young, elderly and people with respiratory problems stay indoors.  Poor air quality also causes problems with folks with asthma.

The American Red Cross recommends that everyone else stay hydrated, eat small meals, wear loose-fitting, light weight, light-colored clothing and check on neighbors who don’t have air conditioning.
