Stan talks with WTIC AM sportscaster Scott Gray about new developments taking shape for the UConn Huskies, including a Big East tournament championship for the baseball team as well as how UConn fits in to the new American Athletic Conference.

The UConn baseball team entered the Big East tournament as the No. 8 seed but went on to win the whole thing, upsetting No. 1 seed Louisville along the way. The championship got the Huskies a spot in the NCAA tournament, where they won their first game against Virgina Tech at the Hokies home stadium in Blacksburg, Va.

The Big East baseball tournament was the last postseason event for UConn’s old conference. A new conference will take on the Big East name, with seven current members leaving, while UConn, South Florida and Cincinnati will be part of the new American Athletic Conference. Current Big East members Rutgers and Louisville are also part of the AAC, but will be leaving after one year.
