A Flood Watch is in effect through Tuesday night for 1”-2” of rain, with locally higher amounts.

Rain will come down heavy at times as a warm front lifts north of the area.  Don’t be surprised if you hear a rumble of thunder either!

The roads will be wet for the morning drive Tuesday.  Luckily, the heaviest rain will move out in time for rush hour.  Lingering showers, clouds and fog will break for limited sunshine. Another round of showers, downpours and thunder is likely in the afternoon as a cold front approaches.

The ground is already saturated and the rivers are already high. For that reason Flood Watches remain in effect. The biggest concern is urban/poor drainage flooding.

More rain is possible late Thursday.

Overnight: Rain, heavy at times. Low: Near 60

Tuesday: Clouds and showers break for some sun. Another round of showers and thunderstorms is possible in the afternoon, mainly late. High: Mid to upper 70s

Wednesday: A mix of sun and clouds, breezy less humid and comfortable. Northwest wind 10 to 20 miles an hour. High: Mid 70s to near 80 degrees.

Thursday:  Increasing clouds, showers developing late in the day. Periods of rain Thursday night, heavy at times. High: Mid 70s

Friday: Rain in the morning tapering to scattered showers with some clearing possible. High: Mid 70s

Saturday: Mostly sunny, dry and pleasant. Sunday looks a few degrees milder with continued sunshine. High: Mid 70s to near 80.
