This week, Dan Haar talks about Texas Gov. Rick Perry coming to Connecticut to try to lure companies back to Texas, and an economic report that had some bad news for the state.

Perry has launched a $1 million advertising campaign to announce his trip up north to visit with companies and try to convince them to move their operations to the Lone Star State. Gun manufacturers in particular have discussed leaving Connecticut after the state passed a gun control law that is among the strictest in the nation.

Haar also talks about the past legislative session and some of the laws that were enacted that could have a negative impact on businesses. The U.S. Commerce Department said last week that Connecticut’s economy shrank in 2011 rather than growing.
