DiBella’s, a restaurant chain that specializes in sub sandwiches, has opened a new location in Newington.
The business began as a corner grocery store in Rochester, N.Y. Gradually the store evolved into an Italian import store and deli, and then began baking its own bread and specializing in sub sandwiches.
Today DiBella’s has 32 locations in cities like Rochester, Buffalo, N.Y., Albany, N.Y., Pittsburgh, Indianapolis and Cleveland. In honor of the newest store opening in Newington, the company gave away coupons for 52 free sandwiches to the first 30 customers in line. Some people camped out for several days to win the contest.
