Kevin Kendall, owner of Smoked on the Water Jerky in Essex, stopped by Fox CT’s studios on Wednesday in honor of National Jerky Day.
“After smoking just about everything on my wood-fired smoker for over 20 years, a few years ago on a cold winter day I decided to try my hand at a little smoked beef jerky,” Kendall says. “That is the one thing I had never tried. I wanted to give some of my favorite customers from my restaurant a little holiday gift, something homemade and something they would really enjoy. And so it all began.”
