GLASTONBURY – Summer is berry-picking season and for some berries, like strawberries, the season doesn’t last long. A couple of rainy weekends can really put a dent in the berry-farm business here in Connecticut.
Strawberry season started around June 1, and the season only lasts for a month.
Its been a slow start to berry-picking season at Rose’s Berry Farm in Glastonbury because of the significant rainfall over the last few weeks.
The rain hasn’t affected the berries, however, it is preventing people from visiting the farm on the weekends.
