A tutor at Chapel Elementary School was arrested Monday on charges that he behaved inappropriately toward female students, police said.
William Stewart, 39, was charged with risk of injury to a minor and disorderly conduct.
Stewart was released after posted a $25,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear June 6 at Superior Court in Bridgeport.
Police began investigating in March after several students told school officials that Stewart had made inappropriate comments, requests or gestures, police said.
