The search for a missing 33-year-old old photographer, Eric Langlois, continued Friday. He was reported missing Tuesday, when he didn’t return home from Lovers Leap State Park along the Housatonic River in New Milford.

His wife, Amber, says Eric was riding his mountain bike along the river the day before, when after taking a tumble, he and his bike ended up in the river. She says he returned to the river the next day to retrieve his bike and has not been seen since.

An estimated 50 photographers, from Connecticut and beyond, have been part of the search, which commenced Tuesday. Area police and the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection rejoined the search Friday after rains moved out of Connecticut.

DEEP spokesman Dennis Schain said the state was leading the investigation, rather than local authorities, because the report of Langlois going missing was tied to a state park.
