Hartland Man Killed In Crash On Route 20

HARTLAND – A 44-year-old man was killed when his car went off Route 20 and struck a tree Saturday afternoon, police said.

Sean Burke, of West Hartland, was driving north on Route 20 in Hartland when he lost control of his car, police said. The Subaru Legacy went off the road, over a guardrail and collided with several trees.

The crash happened around 5:45 p.m. about a mile north of the intersection with Balance Rock Road, police said.

Burke was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The accident remains under investigation.
