Fox CT Dominates Late Night Ratings During May Sweeps

The Fox CT News at Ten, viewed in more than 215,000 homes each week, scored the largest adult audience of any local late-night newscast in the state. The show was No. 1 across key demographics including those aged 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54. The News at Ten has been the top late newscast among adults 25-54 for 23 of the last 29 quarterly Nielsen rating periods.

“I am extremely proud of our entire news organization,” Richard J. Graziano, general manager of Fox CT and WCCT-TV, said in a statement. “Delivering our viewers their local news in a thoughtful and meaningful way is the upmost importance to us and these rating confirm we are doing it well.”

Fox CT saw growth in its other newscasts too. The Fox CT News at Eleven increased its household rating by 19 percent, Fox CT News at Four viewership grew 18 percent and the Fox CT News at Five increased the rating in its time period by 59 percent over the same time last year.

“The Fox CT team recognizes how important local news is to our viewers,” Fox CT news director Coleen Marren said in a statement. “We want our viewers to know that we are working 24/7 to bring them the latest on every local news story happening in our great state.”
