Play Softball, Ride Motorcycles To Raise Money

Ben Goldman gives you a rundown of some of the charity events going on this week in Connecticut.

This weekend you and your softball team can take part in a special tournament to benefit the Cancer Support Community of Southern Connecticut. Teams need a minimum of 10 players. Games will be played in Fairfield on Old Dam Road. The cost is $300 per team to play. For more information, visit

On Sunday, June 30, the C.H.A.I.N. Fund’s Ride to Provide will be going on. The ride starts on Woodward Avenue in New Haven. Registration for riders is at 9:30 a.m. the cost is $20 per rider and $10 per passenger. All of the money goes to the C.H.A.I.N. Fund which offers  financial assistance and a social intervention network for cancer patients.
