Start your day off right with a healthy breakfast. Matthew Vakakis from Whole Foods in Glastonbury joins the show to share a recipe for protein-packed “Performance Pancakes.”
Performance Pancakes
1 cup 365 Organic Everyday Value 100% Whole Wheat Buttermilk Pancake Mix
2/3 cup Non-Fat Milk
1 Tablespoon Oil
1 Egg
1 Scoop Vega Sport Protein Powder
1 Tablespoon Flaxseed
¼ cup Cacao Nibs
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients together until smooth. Do not overmix.
- Add milk or more mix as needed for desired consistency.
- Pour batter onto a pre-heated, lightly oiled griddle then cook.
- On medium low heat; flip once. Serve immediately with syrup, jam or fresh fruit.
