A Flash Flood Watch continues to be in effect through this afternoon, as there is still the potential for more showers and thunderstorms, especially this afternoon.

Heavy rains yesterday into last night made June 2013 the second wettest June on record.

Our wet, humid June weather pattern will continue for the first half of July, as there will be chances for scattered thunderstorms everyday through the 4th. Until the jet stream changes and induces a strong cold front, this wet, humid pattern will continue. Right now it looks like that change may not happen until the 2nd weekend in July. At least this weekend will not be as wet as the last couple of days.

This weekend expect sunshine mixing with clouds, continued warm weather and humidity. High temperatures will be in the 80s, with lows in the 60s to near 70. Again, we still cannot rule out the chance for scattered storms.

Full Forecast:

Today: Mostly cloudy, warm and humid. Scattered showers and thunderstorms. High: low 80s. Wind: S 5-15 mph. Sunset: 8:30 p.m.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Remaining humid. High: Low to mid 80s.

Sunday: Mix of sun and clouds, muggy with scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon. High: Low to mid 80s

Monday: Cloudy and muggy with periods of rain, some heavy at times. Another chance for poor drainage flooding. High: Low 80s

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy and muggy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. High: Mid 80s
