The second suspect arrested in the murder case against Bristol native and former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is now behind bars in Massachusetts.

A Bristol Superior Court judge authorized the extradition of Carlos Ortiz, 27, to Massachusetts.  Two North Attleborough police officers picked him up.

Ortiz is believed to be one of the out-of-state buddies prosecutors said Hernandez texted to meet him in Massachusetts on the night Odin Lloyd was killed.

Relatives and friends said they don’t t believe Ortiz is capable of being involved in a murder.

“I don’t know how the story got like that,” said Milton Montesdeoca, a friend of Ortiz. “Carlos is a good dude. Aaron, he’s got a good heart. It’s just a big misunderstanding.”

The second friend Hernandez allegedly texted is in custody as well. Ernest “Bo” Wallace, 41, also of Bristol, turned himself in to Miramar Police in South Florida.

Prosecutors said all three men who are suspected of being in a car with Lloyd the night he was murdered are now in custody.
