Man Killed When Car Crashes Into Farmington Country Club

FARMINGTON – A man was killed and a woman was injured when their car left the road and crashed into a building at the intersection of Route 4 and Route 10 early Sunday, police said.

At 3:30 am. a Nissan traveling at a high rate of speed lost control and smashed through a fence at the Farmington Country Club, taking out gas lines power lines and water lines, police said. The car continued on and crashed into the main building of the country club.

A man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene and a female passenger was taken to Hartford Hospital, police said. Her condition is unknown.

Traffic is being rerouted away from the scene of the accident.
