Monday we’ll have a lot of clouds hanging around, but there may be a bit of sunshine at times. Showers and thunderstorms will likely move up from the south as the day goes on. Some of those showers could lead to heavy downpours at times during the day. This of course brings up flooding concerns, especially in western parts of the state.

We keep the humidity around on Tuesday, with high temperatures in the lower 80s. There still is a chance for showers and storms, but it’s a little lower than Monday’s chance.

The good news is that we’ll continue to dry it out, slowly but surely. There’s only a 30 percent chance for a spotty shower on Wednesday, and then for Independence Day most of us won’t see any rain at all. It will warm up for the end of the week, with the Fourth of July bringing temperatures near 90 (with the humidity). We’ll stay around 90 for Friday and into the weekend.
