The coverage of showers and storms will diminish over the coming days.  On Wednesday, a shower or storm will pop up in a few towns, mainly in the afternoon.  By the Fourth of July, most of the state will stay dry. With less storms and increasing sun, temperatures are heating up this week.  In fact, the third potential heat wave of the season is on the horizon.  While the weather pattern looks drier (less storms) the humidity remains stubborn.  There is no break from this tropical air!

Tonight: Leftover shower or storm. Mild and muggy with patchy fog. Low: Near 70.

Tomorrow: Mix of sun and clouds with the chance for a shower or thunderstorm in spots, mainly in the afternoon. High: Low to mid 80s

Thursday (July 4th): Very warm to hot, hazy and humid. Chance for an isolated shower or storm late in the day. Most towns stay dry! High: Mid to upper 80s.
