International relations expert Yvonne Davis talks about the unrest that has continued in Egypt and the controversy surrounding NSA leaker Edward Snowden.

In Egypt, 20 people have been killed and more than 600 have been injured since protests began last week in Tahrir Square and throughout Egypt. The country faces economic turmoil, high unemployment and no economic plan by the current president to begin to address the problem. Even though he has been in office for just a year, people are calling for Mohamed Morsi’s resignation.

As for Snowden, he has been reportedly seeking asylum in Ecuador, but the president of that country said Snowden can’t be granted asylum until he reaches Ecuadorian soil. Snowden may face charges in the U.S. for leaking secrets about NSA surveillance, but President Barack Obama said recently that authorities wouldn’t be “scrambling jets” to find him.
