An EF-1 tornado skipped across Coventry, bringing down large trees, but bringing down almost all of them in the right spots, away from homes.
A National Weather Service team spent Thursday surveying the damage, including the mess made on properties around Route 31.
As the team worked to determine if a tornado was to blame, a team of tree removers worked around the NWS assessors. They had their work cut out for them.
“There’s gotta be at least 15 to 20 trees down, it kinda goes into the woods quite a ways and then out front as well,” Alpine Tree Company owner, Nathan Carlson, said.
There were no reports of injuries due to the tornado.
