Several residents in a West Haven neighborhood woke up this week to find their homes or cars vandalized. A police investigation is under way.

In addition to spray painting graphic images, the suspect tagged private property with the letters “M. C.”

The graffiti was found along Connecticut Avenue, Honey Pot Road and Haystack Road in the West Shore neighborhood.

Residents in the quiet neighborhood of manicured lawns found the vandalism shocking, “I think anybody would be upset especially when you live in a nice area,” said Bill Hawkins.

West Haven Police are asking anyone with information to call in a tip anonymously at (203) 937-3900.
