This week, Ben Goldman talks with Fred Samoskevich, assistant director of Camp Rising Sun, a weeklong camp for children with cancer.
Samoskevich, a cancer survivor, is a former camper and counselor and is happy to be able to help hundreds of campers in his role as assistant dierctor. In addition to counselors, the camp has trained medical staff to make sure the kids have a safe and fun week at camp.
The camp is holding a fundraiser next week at the Owenego Inn in Branford with dinner, raffles, a silent auction and plenty of activities for the kids.
