Bozrah Man Dies After Falling From Rhode Island Bridge

BOZRAH — A 45-year-old construction worker died Tuesday after falling from a bridge in Rhode Island.

David Dupee of Bozrah was working on the Mt. Hope Bridge over Mount Hope Bay near Bristol, R.I., shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday when he fell about 75 feet onto land, according to a release from Bristol police.

He was brought to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

He was employed by TDA Construction Inc., the release states.

The Rhode Island Bridge Authority and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating.
