The 18th annual SoundRunner Sea Legs Shuffle was held on Sunday at the Guilford Fairgrounds.
This year more than 800 participants were expected and the event hosted the 10-mile state championship.
The race is organized by SoundRunner and JB Sports and raises money to fund scholarships to children’s programs and summer camps administered through the Guilford Parks and Recreation Department. Money is also given to cross country programs at Guilford and Branford high schools.
“I am proud the Sea Legs Shuffle was selected to host the 10-mile championship again this year and I am thrilled about the record number of runners,” said SoundRunner General Manager Preston Ranton.
